How to prepare cabbage stew in your restaurant: The Nigerian way: Hello foodies. Welcome to my blog. Here I will show you how to prepare cabbage stew and you can use it to eat most Nigerian delicacies such as rice, plantain, potatoes, beans porridge, yam, and meshed corn meal.
Cabbage is a vegetable which is very good to the body and it contains essential nutrients the body needs every day.
Interestingly, cabbage contains nutrients that helps in keeping inflammation checked, improve digestion, healthy heart, lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol and also contains vitamins C and K.
Wow, this is the most interesting thing. Your kitchen should always have cabbage to start with.

Many people prefer their cabbage raw because it supplies antioxidants, but it is preferable to stem or boil before eat for some people.
Prepare that Nigerian cabbage stew
Ingredients you may need for 2 or 3 persons
Cabbage 1 ball
Fresh Tomatoes 4 diced pieces
1 can of tomato paste
2 pieces of Green pepper
2 pieces of Chilli pepper
2 pieces of Bell pepper
1 diced onion
Seasoning and salt to taste
¼ cup of canola oil
2 teaspoons of garlic
Diced fish especially sardines

Procedure
Step 1
Slice cabbage after washing it and pot in a pot, add salt and allow to boil for 10 minutes.
Also reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer until it is soft.
Remove cabbage and drain in a separate bowl.
Step 2
Heat the canola oil (you can use vegetable oil instead) in a pan over the fire.
Stir, add onion and garlic in the hot oil until the onion is cooked (about 5 minutes).
Stir the fresh tomatoes into the pan, cover the pan to allow it cook for 10 to 15 minutes until the tomatoes is soft.

Step 3
Add water into the tomato paste in a bowl and mix with a spoon until smooth; then pour into pan.
Mix properly and cover the pan for 5 minutes.
Add sardines in the tomato sauce, season it with any seasoning such as Maggi, Knor, or Onga; red, chilli and bell pepper and also add salt to taste.
Stir the drained cabbage into the mixture and cover the pan. Simmer the mixture for about 10 to 15 minutes until the sardine fish is soft.
Step 4
Serve with any starchy food of your choice and enjoy the meal.
